THE ORG2VEC INNOVATION LAB

AI breakthroughs for organizations that cannot afford mistakes.

A 2 week executive AI lab where top university talent, Facio’s Org2Vec platform, and leading AI models turn your hardest operational bottleneck into a working, governed solution.

For financial institutions, insurers, infrastructure companies, logistics operators, and public-sector organizations across North Carolina, South Carolina, and Georgia.

Bring us the problem your team keeps postponing. Leave with a working prototype, an implementation path, and a safer way to adopt AI.

01 — WHY THIS EXISTS

WHY THIS EXISTS

Every serious organization is being pushed to “use AI.”
But regulated and operationally complex organizations cannot simply paste sensitive records into a chatbot and hope for the best.

Your concerns are real:

Privacy

Your data cannot become training material, leak into public tools, or move outside proper controls.

Accuracy

One wrong answer can approve the wrong claim, misread a contract, miss a deadline, or create financial exposure.

Accountability

If an AI system cannot show where its answer came from, it cannot survive audit, compliance review, or board scrutiny.

Adoption risk

Most AI pilots look impressive in a demo and then die because they are not connected to real workflows, real approvals, or real business ownership.

Bridging the risk gap.

The Org2Vec Innovation Lab was built for this gap: the space between AI ambition and operational trust.

02 — THE OFFER

THE OFFER

Real problem. Real data structure. Real output. 2 weeks.

The Org2Vec Innovation Lab pairs your organization with high-performing student teams from partner universities, guided by Facio’s product and AI leadership.

Together, we target one meaningful business problem and turn it into a working solution concept using:

01

Facio’s Org2Vec network

A semantic connection engine mapping files, policies, cases, and rules in real time.

02

Governed organizational knowledge

Ensure sensitive operational directives and policies are followed without exposure risk.

03

GPT, Claude, Gemini, and other leading AI models

Multiple model benchmarking to choose the highest performing, most efficient option.

04

Human-in-the-loop approval

Deterministic escalation rules ensure your staff checks every key automated output.

05

Source-linked answers

Full audit traceability linking recommendations to precise files and policies.

06

Audit-ready workflow design

Reconstruct how decisions were reached to survive compliance and audit reviews.

07

Implementation planning beyond the hackathon

Practical execution roadmap extending beyond the lab for permanent integration.

This is not a generic innovation workshop. It is a focused sprint to prove where AI can create measurable value inside your organization without compromising control.
03 — WHY DECISION MAKERS SHOULD CARE

WHY DECISION MAKERS SHOULD CARE

You do not need another AI demo.

You need a safe path to a business breakthrough.

Where can AI save us serious time or money?

We identify high-friction workflows where AI can reduce review cycles, manual handoffs, rework, and operational delay.

Can we use AI without losing control?

The system is designed around human approval, rule-based guardrails, and full traceability.

Which model should we trust?

We test multiple leading AI models against your actual problem. You see which one performs best instead of betting on vendor hype.

Can this become real after the event?

Yes. The winning concept becomes an implementation candidate, with a practical path for deployment inside your organization.

04 — THE NC REGULATORY SANDBOX PATHWAY

Test boldly, with the regulator in the room.

For eligible finance and insurance projects, the Lab is designed to align with the NC Regulatory Sandbox framework.

North Carolina’s Innovation Council is now accepting applications for regulatory waivers. The Council reviews applications, admits participants, and assigns admitted participants to the applicable state agency for regulatory collaboration and oversight.

That matters because serious AI adoption in finance and insurance cannot happen in a vacuum. It needs a setting where innovation, compliance, and regulators can move together.

For SC/GA & Other Sectors

For organizations in South Carolina and Georgia, and for sectors outside finance and insurance, the Lab applies the same discipline:

governed data
source-linked outputs
human approval before action
logged decisions
clear implementation boundaries
compliance-ready documentation
05 — THE TECHNOLOGY THE TECHNOLOGY

ORG2VEC

The semantic nervous system for regulated organizations.

Most AI tools are search boxes with better manners. They wait for a question, answer from a document, and forget the operational context behind the work.

That is not enough for organizations where decisions have consequences.

Your organization lives in two worlds:

The official world: Policies, procedures, manuals, contracts, authority limits, compliance rules.

The living world: Emails, exceptions, approvals, claims, customer requests, vendor conversations, decisions, and institutional memory.

The biggest operational failures happen in the gap between those two worlds. Org2Vec connects them. It creates a governed network of your organization’s knowledge, communications, cases, rules, people, and decisions — so AI can work with context, not guesswork.

It senses

New documents, messages, cases, and decisions update the organization’s memory.

It remembers

Cases, rules, outcomes, and institutional knowledge stay connected, even when people leave or teams change.

It checks

Authority limits, escalation rules, deadlines, and compliance triggers are enforced through deterministic controls — not left to model judgment.

It explains

Every answer links back to the records, policies, or communications that support it.

It waits for approval

The AI recommends, drafts, summarizes, and prepares. Your people decide.

That is the difference between a chatbot and an operational AI layer.

06 — WHAT CAN BE BUILT

WHAT CAN BE BUILT

The Lab is designed around high-value use cases, not toy projects.

01

AI Agents

Agents that help carry complex work from intake to decision: claim triage, vendor screening, policy review, permit review, compliance investigation, customer request routing.

02

Workflow Automation

Manual processes currently buried in email, spreadsheets, and shared folders rebuilt into structured, trackable workflows.

03

Executive Breakthrough Projects

The bottleneck everyone knows exists but no one has had time to fix.

04

Compliance, Cyber, and Audit Readiness

Controls, monitoring, evidence trails, and review structures designed from day one.

07 — WHO SHOULD JOIN

WHO SHOULD JOIN

The Lab is built for organizations where judgment, compliance, and execution all matter.

Financial Services

Banks, credit unions, insurers, reinsurers, MGAs, TPAs, brokers, asset managers, accounting firms, payment companies, fintech platforms.

Construction & Infrastructure

General contractors, EPC firms, engineering firms, inspection companies, utilities, airports, ports, toll operators, safety-regulated field operations.

Logistics

Freight carriers, 3PLs, customs brokers, freight forwarders, ports, terminal operators, cold-chain logistics, fleet operators, warehouses.

Government Services

State and municipal agencies, licensing and permitting teams, procurement offices, public records departments, courts, benefits administration, public health operations.

08 — HOW IT WORKS

HOW IT WORKS

From your problem to a working solution — in six steps.

01

Executive Problem Intake

We meet your leadership team and identify the problem worth solving — the one with real cost, risk, friction, or strategic upside.

02

Challenge Design

We translate the problem into a clear hackathon brief with success criteria, data boundaries, workflow constraints, and compliance requirements.

03

Student Team Match

Top university talent is matched to your challenge, supported by Facio’s AI, product, and regulated-workflow expertise.

04

The 3-Day Lab

Teams compete to build the strongest solution concept using Org2Vec, leading AI models, and governed workflow design.

05

Executive Demo & Winner Selection

Your leadership team sees what was built, compares approaches, and selects the most promising path forward.

06

Implementation Path

The winning concept becomes a candidate for real deployment, supported by a practical plan for integration, governance, and next steps.

09 — THE PROMISE

THE PROMISE

In one week, your organization can move from:

“We know AI matters, but we are not sure where to start.”

to:

“We have seen a working solution on our own problem, with our controls, our approval model, and a path to implementation.”

That is the breakthrough.
Not AI for experimentation. AI for organizations that have to get it right.
